Informatie
The XM was produced by Citroën from 1989 to 2000, and in parallel the Slovenian firm EME (Emil Mlakar Engineering) offered specialised lengthened-body versions of the XM — including four-door versions extended by 500 mm, six-door by 950 mm and a break version lengthened by 300 mm. These versions were typically used for limousine or official-car applications rather than standard saloons.

'6 DOORS'
The Citroën XM EME "6 doors" is an extended, limousine-style variant of the classic Citroën XM, modified specifically for high-profile, professional, or government use. Created by specialized coachbuilders, these unique models were designed to offer more passenger space and enhanced comfort, transforming the XM into a luxury transport vehicle.
The XM 6-door version typically includes a lengthened chassis and an additional set of doors to allow easier access to a spacious rear cabin, often fitted with upgraded upholstery, custom seating configurations, and other comfort-focused features. Despite the modifications, it retains the XM's characteristic hydropneumatic suspension system, which ensures a smooth ride even with the additional length and weight. This suspension system allowed the 6-door XM to provide the same level of driving comfort that the original model was known for, even with a full passenger load.
These 6-door XM EME limousines are very rare today, valued by collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate Citroën's innovative approach and the exclusivity of this model.

BREAK
The Citroën EME Break is a station wagon variant of the Citroën XM, produced to combine the innovative design and advanced technology of the XM with the practicality of a spacious estate car. Launched alongside the XM, the Break was primarily crafted by Heuliez, a well-known coachbuilder, and offered significant cargo space while maintaining the luxurious features and advanced suspension system that defined the XM lineup.
The Break was particularly notable for its adaptability in professional and family settings, offering a blend of utility and comfort. While it didn’t achieve overwhelming sales figures, it remains a collector’s item for fans of Citroën's innovative engineering and bold designs
